Album Description

Continuum is John Mayer's third studio album, released on September 12, 2006. It was produced by Steve Jordan and features a blend of blues and soul influences, marking a shift from Mayer's previous pop rock style. Bassist Pino Palladino joined Mayer, with whom he had previously toured as the John Mayer Trio. The album debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200, selling over 300,000 copies in its first week and more than 5 million worldwide. It received critical acclaim, winning Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Rolling Stone ranked it among the top albums of 2006 and later listed it at number 486 in their 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
